Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

BeyondPlay is operated by Beyond Play Inc ("Beyond Play", "we", "our", or "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the BeyondPlay mobile app and our websites (together, the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. BeyondPlay is a social gaming service: you can play games from a feed, create games with AI assistance, chat with friends, and challenge them to score duels.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data. When you sign in with Google (or another supported sign-in option), we receive and store your email address, your name, and an account identifier. You can additionally set a username, display name, bio, and avatar photo.
• Content you create. Games you build and publish, the prompts and messages you send to Create Studio (including any images you attach), chat messages, comments, ratings, and challenge results.
• Photos. If you choose to set an avatar or attach an image in Create Studio, we receive the photos you select from your library or take with your camera. We never access your photo library or camera without you initiating it.
• Device and push data. A push notification token for your device (if you enable notifications) and an app-install identifier used to measure how the game feed performs.
• Usage data. How you interact with the Service — which games you view and play, feed impressions and time-on-game, likes, searches, and similar product-interaction events.
• Security data. When you sign in, our authentication system records the session's IP address and browser/device user-agent string to keep your account secure.

We do not collect your location, contacts, health or financial data, and the app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Service: accounts, the game feed, game creation, chat, challenges, leaderboards, and social features.
• To send push notifications you have opted into (friend activity, challenges, game invites). You can turn these off in Settings or iOS Settings at any time.
• To understand and improve the Service using first-party usage analytics.
• To keep the Service safe: moderation, enforcing our Terms, preventing abuse, and securing accounts.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. AI Processing of Your Content

Create Studio uses third-party AI providers to build games from your prompts. When you use Create Studio, the prompts, messages, and images you submit — and the game content being built — are sent to AI providers for processing. We currently use DeepSeek and Google (Gemini, including image generation for game assets). Depending on configuration, we may also route requests to Anthropic, Moonshot AI, OpenAI, or Together AI. Each provider processes data under its own terms; we send only what is needed to fulfill your request. Generated game code also runs in isolated cloud sandboxes operated by Daytona as part of the build process.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that run the Service on our behalf: the AI providers listed above, Daytona (build sandboxes), Cloudflare (content storage and delivery, realtime chat infrastructure), Neon (database), Vercel (hosting), and Expo (push notification delivery). We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the Service and its users.

Content you publish is public by design: published games, your username, display name, avatar, bio, comments, and leaderboard scores are visible to other users.

6. Moderation and Reporting

To keep BeyondPlay safe we review content that is reported to us, and we may use automated moderation checks on content before or after it is published. You can report games, users, or messages from inside the app, and block users you don't want to interact with. Reports are reviewed and may lead to content removal or account suspension. Moderation records are retained as long as needed for safety and legal purposes.

7. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Privacy → Delete Account). Deletion removes your account, sign-in credentials, sessions, push tokens, games and creation history, library, and follows. Some data persists after deletion: chat messages you sent remain visible to their recipients in anonymized form (no longer attributed to you), and residual records such as likes, comments, feed analytics events, and leaderboard scores may be retained in anonymized or de-identified form. Backups and logs age out on a rolling basis. We may retain data longer where required by law. This retention approach lets conversations and leaderboards keep working for other users after you leave.

8. Children

BeyondPlay is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. The app is rated 17+ on the App Store because it contains user-generated and AI-generated content and unfiltered chat. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us personal data, we will delete the account and the associated data. Parents or guardians can contact us at the address below.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise deletion directly in the app, and any of these rights by emailing us. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, scoped credentials, and isolated build sandboxes. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date; for material changes we will notify you in the app.
